Hi, I’m Lauren Bonnell, MA MLP.

I understand that our past, and our present, effects how we identify, how we relate to others, and how we treat ourselves. I would like to help you in achieving your most authentic self.

I have earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. Continuing my education with specific, up to date treatment for disordered eating patterns, women’s issues, and family conflict is a priority to me. I am passionate in helping individuals live in weight and body neutrality. I also work with adolescents, depression/suicidality, struggles with interpersonal relationships, LGBTQ+, and personality disorders.

When working with individuals, I use an interpersonal approach with the goal of helping clients build a different relational pattern that aligns more with their values.

“When people say they want to lose weight, they often mean I want to be respected, I want to be loved. I want to be seen. I want Liberation from fear and self-loathing. Weight loss culture will never give us those things because it is founded on fear/hate based systems like sexism, racism, classism, and ableism.”
